The ActionVFX Forum is moving to Discord!

On June 9th, 2023, the ActionVFX Forum will officially shut down. But we’re excited to announce that you can join us in our brand-new ActionVFX Discord community!

Why join the Discord?

  1. gain access to expert resources
  2. connect with like-minded people from around the world
  3. previews of upcoming releases
  4. access to beta testing

Just like our forum, the ActionVFX Discord is open to anyone in the VFX and film industries, whether you’re a professional, student, or hobbyist. We’re migrating it to provide a more personal and engaging environment for our VFX community.

Our mission remains the same: to provide the filmmaking industry with professional-grade VFX assets that are both affordable and of the highest quality. The resources found in the ActionVFX Discord will only further help us to do this. We hope to see you there!

Isn’t discord more aimed at the gaming community though? Couldn’t the forum be kept open, maybe with certain changes?
Couldn’t both options be kept open for a certain amount of time (say 6 months or a year) to see which has more success?
Maybe if more things were added to the forum, more resources like for tutorials or competitions or more staff providing help with user questions related to fx and the site etc. then that might help the forum more.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and suggestions for improvement!

We are moving our forum Discord because the platform gives us more flexibility and options to provide our community with the support that you’re asking for – user questions, product improvements, discussions, and more. It’s an exciting place to be and we hope to see you there!
