I’ve been trying for a while to animate faces from really old photographs. Like the ones from the 1800’s found here: These daguerreotype portraits show the oldest generation of people to ever be photographed, 1840-1850 - Rare Historical Photos
My goal is to make the person in the photo sing to music. I thought I could record myself singing, track my face and apply the tracking data to the photograph. This turned out to be way harder than I thought. So far I’ve tried EbSynth, DeepFace Live and AE Face Tracking, but with no satisfactory result.
Before I face reality and accept that it can’t be done, I wanted to check with you guys. Any ideas that come to mind?
