File Storage Solution for Apple Silicon

I’m looking to transition my setup to Apple Silicon because the performance is just so impressive, especially with what’s rumored to be in the M2 and Mac Pro systems.

The issue right now, is that many RAID storage solutions seem to not be working well with Apple Silicon because of a .kext thing, which requires a user to toggle a switch that “lowers security”, instead of just a simple set and forget install solution. I currently have a 12big Lacie storage device. It doesn’t easily work with the M1.

Any suggestions for RAID or other storage solutions that work well with Apple Silicon from the get go? Looking into Synology NAS too, but unsure.

Also, what are your workflows like with storage? Perhaps hearing what others do will spark some ideas! For the record, I typically edit and do my work straight from the RAID.

Thanks!
